Tips for healthier teeth, gums and well being

Happy New Year from Everyone on Our Team! Tuesday, 21 January 2014
It seems like only yesterday that we were inviting children to bring in their Halloween candy! Many thanks to those that did! We sent over 100 pounds of candy to our troops! A New Year is here and that always brings talk of New Year’s resolutions. Have you ever set a resolution only to lose momentum? How can we make resolutions that will last?
Here are three suggestions to help you increase your chance of success!
1) Find a strong motivator: (Our tips: write it down, post pictures or words of your goal where you will see them to motivate you and get you inspired!).
2) Make it a daily task and it will become a habit.
3) Set realistic goals. Use the SMART method – the goal must be:
• Specific
• Measurable
• Attainable
• Realistic
• Timely
Try these simple suggestions for a healthier you in the New Year:
• Drink more water
• Get to bed earlier for more sleep (minimum of 7 hours)
• Brush after every meal
• Add more fruit and vegetables to every meal
• Exercise for 20 minutes per day
